He started a Ryan Moran and friends night at Dark Horse in Annapolis on Wednesdays. Ron Mcmorrow from American Darling eventually became the recurring guest and as the regular crowd became larger they started to bring more of the band. Now, Tuesdays at Dark Horse are a staple for the Annapolis music scene and American Darling
Desert 5 Spot in DC opened in September of ‘25. American Darling has been the Thursday band since then, and has brought a more country flavored sound to the up and coming honky tonk.
Jack Gregori held the Madams Organ Monday slot until moving in ‘26. Ryan took over Mondays first as a solo act and now he has brought a new trio to the stage.

Ryan Moran is a Maryland based singer, songwriter, and guitar player. His music harkens back to 70’s style southern rock, soul, blues and folk. In three years of studio recording he has released 34 songs under three project names, amassed over 300,000 streams, and won the Heady Wax Fiends record contest at Ramble festival. He has opened for national touring acts with American Darling, played venues like The 8×10, The Hamilton, Rams Head Live, and Pearl Street Warehouse, and toured regionally.
Ryan has become a DMV live music staple through hard work and determination. Playing five nights a week with American Darling in addition to a weekly residency with his trio and plenty of solo gigs has sharpened his skills and made him one of the most versatile musicians in the area.
Whether he is playing solo, with his trio, or with American Darling, his song sense, fiery vocals, and active guitar playing is sure to be featured.
